My name is Lena and I am the proprietor of Kleiderei in Cologne. Moreover, I run a slow fashion label called Trinkhallen Schickeria and host the design events Der Super Markt with my colleague Anna Mancarella. All three enterprises focus on sustainability in the realm of fashion and design.
Kleiderei is based on the concept of sharing fashion. We have a store for fair fashion and second hand clothing that can be borrowed if you become a member. This is how existing clothing is shared and the lifespan of the items is extended to a maximum. Our assortment comprises numerous fair fashion brands from Cologne, e. g. Armedangels, Lanius or Shipsheip. These can be worn on trial and if they are appreciated they can be added to one’s own wardrobe at a reduced price. Goodbye to mispurchases!
Style-wise we carry everything that is fun, as this is what is all about: fun with fashion — but in a sustainable way!
I love Wallczka because it is not only beuatifully furnished but an allrounder in the sparse Cologne gastronomic world. Lunch menu, café, restaurant, bar — always excellent and around the corner from our store and office. For shopping I can recommend the vintage stores Todd and Vintage Emde in the Belgian District. For years I have been buying almost exclusively second hand now. But some wonderful and sustainable fashion brands are assembled in Cologne as well. FunktionSchnitt even has its sole physical store in Cologne. Fairfitters is another beautiful concept store for fair fashion with a variety of styles and some regional brands as well. When it comes to music I would recommend the concert series Popanz and Neu,kaputt. They usually warrant a nice evening, no matter if at Acephale, King Georg, or Bumann & Sohn.
